Sadly our operations manager, Marty Wilkin, had to leave us before Christmas for personal reasons, but we are delighted to announce that he will be replaced by Jai Prakash Lama. Jai enlisted into the Brigade of Gurkhas in 1983 spending his early army years in Hong Kong, moving to the UK in 1993. He was commissioned from the ranks in 2003 and transferred to the Adjutant Generals Corps in 2010. For the next 4 years he was the Regimental Administrative Officer with the 1st Battalion The Royal Regiment of Scotland based in Edinburgh before retiring back to Nepal in March 2014. He is married to Kavita and they have 3 children. Rubina, their eldest daughter and Sujay, their son are both living and working in Edinburgh. Sneha, their youngest daughter is 10 and is with the family in Nepal. Kavita works at the British School in Kathmandu. Jai will join us from there on April 1st and no major pilgrimage could have a better or more qualified man. We are very fortunate to have him.
